Music Tapes to play in someone's front yard in Lawrence on the 24th of November.

does anyone know where the Music Tapes will play on the 24th of November? i want to be there.

It's Hard to Find a Friend
(the blog, not the Pedro the Lion album) reports on the sort of impromptu, sort of front porch-ish tour that the Music Tapes are doing to support their new album, singing saw tunes, and it sounds amazing. i have emailed the address in the article in order to find out but somehow i suspect i'll end up 'knowing' the person in Lawrence that's hosting this show.

who knows. maybe it will be me.

i haven't heard back from julian (the tour's kind of slapdash), but i'll let you know as soon as i do about where this will take place.

the singing saws christmas album makes me swell, do you know the story of it? he says that the saws gather on dark nights and play together. christmas is their favorite holiday because jesus was carpenter. julian likes magic.

I'm not sure on the Music Tapes either. But I highly, highly recommend the Singing Saws christmas album. It's beautiful and warm and lovely. And somehow I always look at your blog when I'm drunk. And you still don't know me. But I will in fact mob you in alley someday and steal your words. But yes. I've been playing that vinyl on my radio show, but it's best when people call in and say, "What the fuck is this shit?"

Anonymous, I hope you are one of the following:

1. Willow Ufgood
2. Fat Tina
3. David-Ivar Herman Düne
4. the girl from the "I Wish That I Could See You Soon" video
5. Charlotte Gainsbourg
6. whoever you really are

i don't know you and you are still at least #6 on my list, possibly higher. that is good.

I wonder if Julian knows about the NYC Musical Saw Festival. If he doesn't know about it, maybe you could tell him about this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mltQGm0_dVE

It's more me being someone you have met very briefly in passing, and me being insanely, insanely creepy on your blog. Because this is what I do best. Eventually I will see you and tell you.

Ah, there are two anonymous's. I have competition.

I meant to add to the last one, that maybe I shouldn't tell you tough. Because I can always be the creepy presence in your life. These are decisions you'll have to make.

the more mysterious of the anonymous people. if you choose to reveal yourself to me at some point, i think you should walk up very slowly and the touch my cheek bone with your pointer finger. then i will know it is you.

i do not feel creeped out, i feel excited. but i will also feel excited if you touch my cheek bone, which i think you should do.
