re: my 'literary career'

I have two (2) poems in Abraham Lincoln #3. Click link to buy. Editor K. Silem Mohammad convinced me to use "double quotes" instead of the taoliny 'single quotes'. I don't know if that decision will affect my literary career one way or another. The real question is, can you affect something that is non-existant?

Anne Boyer has commissioned a chapbook from me for the tentative Fat Tina Press. I don't know if it will ever get written, and if written, ever published, but it is a good idea and would be called Robert J. Baumann's "A Man About Town" and would consist of 20 letters to people or things, living/dead or in/animate. I wrote one to someone named "Jimmy" and someone named "Moab" so far. These are not pseudonyms and they are not real people. I will post one here soon.

I hate myself for keeping a blog. I wish I was more like Miranda July. I am going to make this happen. I am going to take art as "an archive of something that wouldn't otherwise exist" seriously. Starting now.

I am convinced ChloƩ Jones is going to be rich once she finishes her 'masters thesis' (sorry, Kasey).

Tao Lin is already rich and he will probably never talk to me again now.

This blog post makes me feel less sad. You really did it this time, RJB.

My dear Robert J Baumann, I like you for having a blog. Or at least I like it that I can see what you wrote three days ago from it. And look at your cub bear. And revel in your writing career.
